2011/12/19There are many high end tools out there and I could go on and on for hours here, but I would suggest staying with the 2 flute premium ball endmills for roughing AND finishing. There are makers that claim to have a true 4 flute ball for finishing, but in reality the surface finish will indeed suffer at the nose of the tool. Hi, I would love to be able to engrave with a ball mill. The current engrave function requires a chamfer mill, and gives nice corners, but the trough of the engraving requires a perfect point on the chamfer mill, which is cutting with little to no surface speed.
